Dental implants in Dungannon
A fixed replacement for missing teeth, carefully assessed and planned for the long term.

Replacing missing teeth
Dental implants: eat, speak and smile with more confidence.
An implant is a small titanium foundation placed in the jaw, with a natural-looking crown fitted after healing. One implant can replace a single tooth; several may support a bridge or help stabilise a denture.
Suitability depends on your mouth, general health and available bone. Your assessment covers these factors, the alternatives, each treatment stage, healing time and the maintenance needed afterwards.
Consider an implant if…
- a missing tooth affects eating or confidence
- you prefer a fixed option that does not rely on neighbouring teeth
- you are willing to maintain excellent cleaning and regular reviews
Common questions
Making an informed decision
Is an implant my only option?
No. A bridge, denture or accepting the space may also be reasonable. We compare the benefits and limitations with you.
How long does the process take?
Treatment usually takes several months because the implant needs time to integrate before the final tooth is fitted. Your plan will show the expected stages.
Does having an implant hurt?
The implant is placed under local anaesthetic, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Afterwards there is usually some soreness and swelling for a few days, which ordinary painkillers and the aftercare advice we give you normally control.
How long does an implant last?
With good cleaning and regular reviews, many implants last well over ten years, and some much longer. They need looking after in the same way as natural teeth, because gum disease around an implant can cause it to fail.
I have been told I do not have enough bone. Is that the end of it?
Not necessarily. Bone can often be rebuilt with a graft, or a different position or type of implant may work. A scan shows us what is available, and we tell you plainly if implants are not a good option for you.
Do smoking or my age affect whether I can have one?
There is no upper age limit; your general health and the condition of your jaw matter more. Smoking does raise the risk of an implant failing, so we talk it through with you before planning treatment, and we can point you towards support to stop.
