Placeholder text. This is a concept website. The wording below is a template written for demonstration, not legal advice, and would need review by a suitably qualified adviser before any real practice used it.

The website

This site was built to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA. Our patients are mostly between fifty-five and seventy, a good number use screen magnification, and several have told us that a previous clinic’s site was the reason they went elsewhere. So this is a practical matter here rather than a compliance exercise.

What that means in practice

  • Everything works from the keyboard, including the cost calculator, the suitability quiz and the before-and-after slider. The focus outline is visible and is never removed.
  • Text contrast is checked pair by pair against the dark background. The copper accent is used for larger text, buttons and figures; smaller secondary text is kept in the lighter neutrals, where the contrast ratio is comfortably above the threshold.
  • Animation is disabled entirely if your system is set to reduce motion. Nothing moves, nothing fades in, and no content depends on an animation having run.
  • The layout holds at 320px wide, and at 200% text size on a phone 360px wide or more, without content being cut off or any page needing to scroll sideways. A wide table scrolls inside its own frame, which the Tab key can reach.
  • Buttons, menu controls and links that stand on their own are at least 44 pixels tall. Links inside a sentence are underlined and kept apart from their neighbours instead.
  • Every interactive module works without JavaScript, falling back to readable content — the calculator to the published price table, the slider to two images side by side.
  • Form labels are always visible, never a placeholder standing in for one.

Known limitations

The before-and-after comparison is inherently visual. Each image carries descriptive alternative text, and the case pages describe in words what changed, so nothing depends on seeing the illustration.

The site has a single dark theme by design. If you prefer light backgrounds, your browser’s reader mode will render the pages in your own colours.

The clinic itself

  • On-site parking for 8 cars, including a bay wide enough for a wheelchair transfer.
  • Ground-floor surgery with step-free access from the car park.
  • An accessible WC on the ground floor.
  • A hearing loop at reception.
  • Longer appointments on request at no extra charge, for anyone who needs more time or would rather not feel rushed.
  • We are happy for a family member or a carer to be with you throughout, including in the surgery.

If something here does not work for you

Ring 028 9649 6180 or write to care@ardanimplants.co.uk and tell us what you were trying to do. On a live site we would undertake to reply within five working days and to fix accessibility faults ahead of other work.
