01 The problem

Most people arrive with one of three situations

Find yours, and the page it leads to explains what is realistic and what it costs.

01

One tooth gone

A tooth lost or about to be lost, and two healthy teeth either side of the gap that you would rather keep intact.

Replacing a single tooth

02

A denture that moves

Adhesive three times a day, and a shorter list of things you are willing to eat in company than you had five years ago.

Dentures that stay put

03

Teeth failing one by one

Thirty years of good dentistry reaching the end of its life at roughly the same time, and a decision that keeps being deferred.

A full arch of fixed teeth

03 Cost

What will it actually cost?

Three questions and a realistic range. Most implant clinics will not put a number on their website; this one puts every number on it.

Here is the full price list. Karen will work through the figures for your own situation on 028 9649 6180.

Six cases, with the figures attached

What was wrong, what we suggested and why, what it cost and how long it took. The images are illustrations rather than photographs of patients — this is a concept site, and on a live one before-and-after photography is tightly regulated.

05 Process

Six steps, and how long each one takes

The question we are asked most is whether there will be a gap at any point. There will not.

  1. 01 60 minutes

    Consultation and 3D scan

Examination, a CBCT scan of the jaw, and a conversation about what is realistic. You leave with a written plan and a price, not a follow-up call.

  2. 02 Within 5 working days

    Plan and quote

Dr Fitzgerald plans the implant positions on the 3D scan and Dr Mallon plans the teeth that go on top. You get the plan in writing with a fixed price.

  3. 03 1–3 hours

    Surgery day

The implant is placed through a guide printed from your scan. Local anaesthetic as standard; sedation if you would rather not be aware of it.

  4. 04 3–4 months

    Healing

The bone grows onto the implant surface. Two short review appointments, ten minutes each.

  5. 05 2 appointments over 3 weeks

    Final teeth fitted

A digital scan, then the final crown or bridge made by Marek in our laboratory upstairs. Shade matched in daylight, tried in, adjusted, fitted.

  6. 06 Year one, then every six months

    Reviews and maintenance

Two reviews in the first year at no charge, then hygiene appointments with Aoife, who treats implant patients specifically.

06 Why us

Why a clinic that does one thing

There is a fair argument that a dentist should be able to do everything. We do not accept it for surgery, and this is why.

01

Implants and nothing else

No fillings, no hygiene appointments for people who are not implant patients, no children’s list. Over 1,400 implants since 2016 in a clinic that does one thing.

02

CBCT and guided surgery on site

Your scan is taken at the first appointment and the surgical guide is printed here from it. The implant ends up where it was planned, not where it fitted on the day.

03

Our own technician, upstairs

Marek makes every crown and bridge on the premises. A shade that is not right is solved that afternoon rather than by post over a fortnight.

04

One surgeon, start to finish

Dr Fitzgerald places every implant here. The person you meet at the consultation is the person who does the surgery and the person you ring afterwards.

Dr Niall Fitzgerald

BDS, MFDS RCSEd, Dip Imp Dent

“I spent eleven years doing a bit of everything and the implant cases were the ones I thought about on the drive home. In 2016 I stopped doing general dentistry and opened Ardan to place implants and nothing else.”

“The difference volume makes does not show up in the easy cases. It shows up in the one where the bone is thinner than expected and the decision has to be made while you are sitting there.”

“It also means I can say no. Turning down the ten per cent of cases that should not go ahead costs me nothing, and it is the most useful thing I can offer somebody.”

08 Paying for it

Most patients spread the cost

Very few people have £12,500 sitting ready, and waiting until they do usually means waiting years while the bone continues to shrink. Finance is arranged in the practice and approved the same day in most cases.

Representative example

£208.33 / month

£12,500 over 60 months at 0% APR. Total repayable £12,500. Deposit optional. Terms from 12 to 60 months.

Finance subject to status. Ardan Implant Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Placeholder text — regulatory wording must be reviewed before use on a live site.

09 FAQ

Questions people ask

Read all the questions

01 Why do you publish prices when most implant clinics do not?

Because the first question everyone has is what it costs, and being made to attend an appointment to find out is a poor way to treat people. The figures on our costs page are the ones we work to. The consultation exists to confirm which of them applies to you, not to reveal a number we were withholding.

02 Is the consultation fee refunded if I go ahead?

Yes. The £95 covers your examination, the CBCT scan and a written plan, and it comes off the cost of treatment if you decide to proceed. If you decide against it, the scan and the plan are still yours to take to another dentist.

03 Can I spread the cost?

Yes, over 12 to 60 months at 0% APR, subject to status. A £12,500 arch over 60 months is £208.33 a month. Karen can run through what the monthly figure would look like for your plan before you commit to anything. Finance subject to status; Ardan Implant Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender.

04 Does having an implant placed hurt?

The surgery itself does not — the area is fully numb, and most patients say it is less demanding than an extraction. The days after involve some swelling and soreness, usually managed with ibuprofen, and most people return to work the next day. Sedation is available if the idea of the appointment is what worries you.

05 How long does the whole thing take?

For a single implant, three to four months from surgery to final crown, across two clinical visits plus reviews. For a full arch with All-on-4, you leave the surgery day with fixed temporary teeth and return four months later for the final bridge. The waiting is healing time, not appointment time.
