Single implant, upper front tooth
The front tooth that had been root treated twice
4 months, 2 surgical visits £2,850
Ballymena
Ballymena, Antrim, Randalstown and Ahoghill make up a catchment we see steadily, and it is the one where the appointment schedule matters most, because forty-five minutes each way turns a ten-minute review into most of a morning.
Forty-five minutes down the M2 outside peak times, longer if you hit the Westlink. The most reliable route is off the M2 and around the outer ring rather than through the centre, coming into the Malone area from the south.
There are eight parking spaces on site and they are free. This sounds like a small point until you have driven forty-five minutes and then spent fifteen circling for a permit-free space.
Straightforwardly: fewer, longer appointments.
Where a Belfast patient might have a separate ten-minute review, we combine yours with the next substantive appointment. Where the plan calls for a healing check that could as easily be a phone call and a photograph, we do it as a phone call and a photograph. Nobody should drive ninety minutes in total to have somebody look at a healing gum for four minutes.
The appointments that genuinely require you to be here are the consultation, the surgery, and the two or three visits for the final teeth. For a single implant that is four trips over four months; for a full arch it is more, and the reviews in the first fortnight after surgery are the ones we will not compress, because that is when anything unexpected shows up.
Several dentists in the Ballymena and Antrim area refer patients to us for the surgical part and complete the restorative work themselves. That works well and it means fewer journeys for you — the implant is placed here, and the crown is made and fitted by the practice you already attend.
If that is what you would prefer, say so at the consultation. We have a page for referring dentists setting out how it works, and we do not take on the general care of referred patients.
Mid-Antrim enquiries skew towards single implants and small bridges rather than full arch work — often a molar lost years ago, or a front tooth that has been root-treated once too often. The single front tooth case is a fairly typical example of what that involves and what it costs.
The same published list applies regardless of where you travel from. A consultation including the CBCT scan is £95 and comes off the cost of treatment. Finance from 0% APR over 12 to 60 months, subject to status.
If you would rather establish whether the journey is worth making before you make it, ring Karen on 028 9649 6180 — she will give you a realistic range for what you are describing before you commit to anything.
