01 Costs

What dental implants cost at Ardan

Every figure we charge is on this page. Not “from” prices that turn into something else at the appointment — the actual range, what is inside it, and what makes a case land at the top of the range rather than the bottom.

02 The list

Dental implant costs: the full price list

Prices are per treatment and include the reviews in the first year. Where a range is given, the scan at your consultation determines where in it you fall — and you are told before you commit to anything.

Three charges are not treatments in their own right but can appear on a quote, so they are listed here too: extracting teeth as part of a plan, £40 each (not charged for the one tooth a single implant replaces); a socket graft at the time of an extraction, £400; and intravenous sedation, £400 to £900 depending on the length of the appointment.

Prices current for 2026 and reviewed annually. A written quotation is issued after your consultation and is held for six months.

03 Estimate

Work out your own range

Three questions. It gives a range rather than a figure, because anybody quoting a single number before a scan is guessing.

Here is the full price list. Karen will work through the figures for your own situation on 028 9649 6180.

04 Variation

Why prices vary

Four things move a case within its range. None of them is discovered after treatment has started.

01

How much bone there is

The single biggest variable. Grafting adds £650 to £2,400 and several months. It is identified from the scan and priced before treatment begins, never discovered halfway through.

02

Which tooth it is

A back tooth is a surgical problem. An upper front tooth is an aesthetic one, and aesthetic cases take more planning, more appointments and occasionally a remade crown.

03

What the tooth is made of

Zirconia, layered porcelain and acrylic all behave differently and cost differently. We choose for the site and the bite rather than as an upsell tier.

04

Whether you need sedation

Local anaesthetic is included. Intravenous sedation with a registered sedationist adds £400 to £900 depending on the length of the appointment.

05 No charge

What we never charge for

  • Retaking a scan or an X-ray if we are not happy with it
  • Review appointments in the first year
  • Talking something through on the phone before you commit
  • Replacing an implant that fails within the guarantee period
  • Looking at implants placed elsewhere as part of an assessment you are already paying for
  • Adjusting a temporary bridge while you are healing

06 Finance

Spreading the cost

Very few people have £12,500 sitting ready. Waiting until they do usually means waiting years while the bone continues to shrink.

Representative example

£208.33 / month

£12,500 over 60 months at 0% APR. Total amount repayable £12,500.

Finance subject to status. Ardan Implant Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender. Placeholder text — regulatory wording must be reviewed before use on a live site.

Terms run from 12 to 60 months. Most treatments over £1,000 qualify. Applications are made in the practice and decided in most cases the same day.

Payments begin after your surgery date rather than at the consultation, so you are not paying for treatment you have not yet had.

A deposit is optional and reduces the monthly figure. There is no penalty for settling early, and no charge for arranging finance — the price is the price whether you pay in one go or over five years.

If an application is declined, the treatment plan and the quotation stand and Karen will go through the alternatives, including staging the work over a longer period.

07 Comparison

Implants against dentures, over ten years

Comparing a one-off price with a one-off price is misleading, because one is consumed and one is maintained. Taking a lower arch as the example, with typical figures.

Ten-year cost comparison between a conventional lower denture and an implant-retained denture
Over ten years Conventional denture Implant-retained denture
Initial treatment £1,800 £5,900
Relines and adjustments (10 years) £1,400 —
Replacement appliance (typically year 6–8) £1,800 —
Maintenance and hygiene visits £600 £1,400
Adhesives and cleaning products £700 £120
Ten-year total £6,300 £7,420

This does not make implants cheap. Over ten years they remain more expensive, and anybody claiming otherwise is selling something. What the table disposes of is the idea that dentures cost a third as much — over a decade they cost about 85 per cent as much. Our guide to implants and dentures sets out the full comparison, including where dentures are the better answer.

08 FAQ

Questions about money

Read all the questions

01 Why do you publish prices when most implant clinics do not?

Because the first question everyone has is what it costs, and being made to attend an appointment to find out is a poor way to treat people. The figures on our costs page are the ones we work to. The consultation exists to confirm which of them applies to you, not to reveal a number we were withholding.

02 Is the consultation fee refunded if I go ahead?

Yes. The £95 covers your examination, the CBCT scan and a written plan, and it comes off the cost of treatment if you decide to proceed. If you decide against it, the scan and the plan are still yours to take to another dentist.

03 Are there costs that appear later?

The quote you sign covers the implant, the abutment, the final tooth and your review appointments. Grafting, where it is needed, is identified from the CBCT scan and priced before anything begins — it is never discovered mid-treatment and added afterwards. The only charges that arise later are for treatment you ask for separately.

04 Can I spread the cost?

Yes, over 12 to 60 months at 0% APR, subject to status. A £12,500 arch over 60 months is £208.33 a month. Karen can run through what the monthly figure would look like for your plan before you commit to anything. Finance subject to status; Ardan Implant Clinic acts as a credit broker, not a lender.

05 Do I pay everything up front?

No. Payment follows the treatment: a deposit when you accept the plan, a stage payment on the day of surgery, and the balance when the final teeth are fitted. On finance, the monthly payments begin after the surgery date.

06 Are implants cheaper abroad?

The headline figure usually is. What differs is what happens afterwards. If a crown loosens or an implant fails at eighteen months, the aftercare is a flight away, and UK dentists are not obliged to take on another surgeon’s work. Our guide on treatment abroad sets out the questions worth asking before booking, without scaremongering.

07 What is the guarantee?

Five years on the implant itself and two years on the crown or bridge, provided you attend the review and hygiene appointments in your plan. The condition is not a technicality: an implant that is not maintained fails, and the checks are how we catch problems while they are still reversible.
